Cellcomm, backed by vast experience and a skilled technical workforce, delivers tailor-made in-building wireless solutions to meet the specific needs of airport terminals. Our turnkey wireless services encompass everything from engineering, design, and product supply to construction, operation, and maintenance of Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS).
We specialize in providing comprehensive and seamless radio coverage for cellular services, TETRA, and Wi-Fi, ensuring high-performance communication across airport infrastructures. Our capabilities span passive, hybrid, and active DAS architectures, designed to support multi-operator, multi-technology networks, and optimized for peak traffic loads based on the airport’s passenger capacity.
✈️ Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA), Mumbai, India
Terminal T2, an X-shaped integrated passenger terminal, spans four levels, connected via metro rail and a six-lane elevated road.
Cellcomm designed and implemented a Hybrid DAS system supporting CDMA, GSM, DCS, and WCDMA technologies.
The system is engineered to efficiently handle peak hour traffic of up to 62,000 users.
Additionally, a fiber-optic-based Hybrid DAS was deployed for indoor TETRA communication coverage.
✈️ Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA), Delhi, India
Terminal T3, among the world’s largest terminals, covers 5.4 million sq. ft., with a capacity of 34 million passengers annually.
A dedicated TETRA communication system was designed and implemented to ensure uniform radio coverage throughout the terminal.
✈️ Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, Hyderabad, India
One of India’s busiest airports, the terminal spans 105,300 sq. m and accommodates 12 million passengers per year.
The system was designed to meet current capacity requirements, with the flexibility to scale for future technologies such as Wi-Max and LTE.
The solution features independent cell topologies for each operator and includes a ready-optimized link budget for maximum efficiency.
