The TETRA Turnkey Project is a comprehensive communication infrastructure initiative designed to provide reliable, mission-critical coverage throughout the underground tunnel network of the Delhi Metro. In Chennai, a similar communication framework has been implemented to support the expanding metro infrastructure. The TETRA-based solution guarantees high-quality voice and data transmission across the underground network. It enhances coordination between metro staff and public safety agencies, improving response time during emergencies and enabling smoother daily operations.
Jaipur Metro has integrated a robust TETRA-based communication system within its metro corridors to ensure reliable and secure connectivity for train operations and emergency services. The system supports uninterrupted voice and data transmission throughout underground and elevated sections, enabling seamless coordination among operational staff, control centers, and safety personnel. The deployment of leaky feeder cables and signal amplification technologies ensures high-performance communication, critical to maintaining punctuality, safety, and swift incident response.
As India’s oldest metro network, the Kolkata Metro has adopted modern TETRA communication solutions to upgrade and align with evolving transit standards. The communication infrastructure extends across its underground stretches, ensuring clear and continuous connectivity for train drivers, station staff, and emergency responders. Advanced components such as high-power repeaters, distributed antenna systems, and leaky coaxial cables have been implemented to handle the unique structural demands of the system, ensuring operational excellence and enhanced passenger safety.
For the Mumbai Monorail, the TETRA system has been strategically deployed to strengthen operational efficiency and emergency communication. Despite the unique challenges posed by monorail structures and limited tunnel environments, the system ensures stable coverage using customized configurations of leaky cable and active equipment.
